In addition to our work as a tuition provider for many local authorities, mainstream and specialist schools, and our Virtual Schools projects, Reflective also quality assures the education provided at over forty alternative provision and OSTED registered specialist independent schools. This is an aspect of our work that takes us to a wider range of settings from small animal care projects with less than 10 students to large specialist secondary schools that have many of the characteristics of mainstream high schools. We feel very privileged to see the dedicated, selfless work that staff in these settings do to support young people facing significant additional challenges who have often struggled in previous placements. Part of our role also involves us supporting alternative provision settings on their journey to become successful OFSTED registered schools and then to help them progress towards the coveted OFSTED ’good’ and ‘outstanding’ ratings.
